Die X-Games veranstalten auch dieses Jahr wieder den "Real Street" Video Contest. Stars wie Daewon Song, Tommy Sandoval, Tom Asta, Billy Marks und Guru Khalsa filmen alle 60 Sekunden Videoparts.
Nachdem die Parts im US-Fernsehen gezeigt wurden, werde alle Parts auf die X-Games Webseite gestellt und jeder hat die Möglichkeit seine Stimme abzugeben.
Der Gewinner bekommt 50.000 US-Dollar.

At X Games 17 — July 28-31 in Los Angeles — Real Street returns for its second year. Sixteen of the world’s best street skateboarders will submit 60-second video parts for a shot at $50,000 and an X Games gold medal. Competing this year are: Daewon Song, Tommy Sandoval, Dylan Rieder, Darrell Stanton, Joey Brezinski, Tom Asta, Anthony Schultz, Zered Bassett, Eli Reed, Brandon Westgate, Ryan Decenzo, Louie Barletta, Billy Marks, Silas Baxter-Neal, Tony Tave and Guru Khalsa.
After the videos air on ABC on Saturday, July 30, a panel of judges and respected pros will pick the winning part. The top four judges‘ picks will also be invited to L.A. to compete for another X Games medal and $5,000 in a Game of S.K.8., airing live on ESPN2 on Sunday, July 31.
But first, on June 28, all 16 videos will debut on xgames.com/realstreet, and you, the fan, will be able to vote in a tournament-style bracket for your favorite part each week leading up to X Games 17. The skater who racks up the most fan votes wins $10,000 and will be announced right here on July 31."
