Tampa, FL (February 17, 2015) – Skatepark of Tampa (SPoT) is HYPED to announce a long-term and pretty insanely epic partnership with Street League Skateboarding (SLS). You didn’t see that one coming did you? So from now on you’ll find Tampa Pro and Tampa Am Live International webcasts on StreetLeague.com.
Don’t trip, we’re stubborn and we figured out what works at SPoT a long time ago, so we’re not changing the formats or moving into an arena or putting in bigger rails. In fact, we’ll be making a nuisance of ourselves at the SLS Pro events and will do our best to dirty up the League as much as possible. You can also bet on seeing Dyrdek back in Tampa, making it rain like he did after his 7th place finish at the Pro in 2007.
The benefits to both SPoT and SLS are going to be huge. Next month at Tampa Pro the top two non-SLS skaters will qualify into the SLS Nike SB World Tour. And it gets better. The winner of Tampa Pro will get a ‚Golden Ticket‘ straight to the SLS Nike SB Super Crown World Championship.
The stoke doesn’t stop at the Pro. The Ams will be getting in on the action too. The 2015 Damn Am of the Year along with the winner of Tampa Am in November will be qualified to skate the 2016 SLS Pro Open. If they absolutely murder it there they can move on to the full SLS World Tour. Boom, dip dip, boom!
