Because of the global corona pandemic, nobody can go to the skate parks anymore. No matter if Germany or the USA, nothing works anymore. The famous Venice Beach Skatepark is unfortunately no exception.
There is also a “lockdown” in California. The park in Venice was equipped with „skatestoppers“ so that skateboarders also adhere to the safety rules and do not go shredding in the local skatepark. However, no ordinary stoppers, but with sand.
As the video shows, a bulldozer tipped or pushed sand into the park. The street and bowl area are no longer skateable.
In other parts of the world, too, occasional skateparks have been filled in with sand by the authorities.
