In the 2017 islamist terrorist attacks in London, there was a skateboarder who sacrificed his life fighting the terrorists. Ignacio Echeverria.

He had defended a woman against the extremists on his skateboard, got stabbed and died. During the later investigations, video footage was shown at a British courtroom that shows the spanish heroism.

Without his skateboard he would not have been able to save the woman. The King of Spain awarded Ignacio two medals. The Queen of Great Britain awarded him with the George Medal (source: DailyStar).
